We provide a rock fire pit and heavy duty cast iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you! COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires. OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or soggy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. We do not recommend vehicles with low ground clearance or low profile tires. An important note, guests always have the choice to park their vehicles at the entrance. We close road access December-March and guests are required to hike in from the entrance of the property, less than a mile distance total. When the road is open in Spring or unusually wet seasons, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. The graveled parking area measures 60' by 20' and offers a decent amount of privacy and a break from the city. This site is situated off to the side of the front yard in what we call "the triangle." Only short term stays please, no more than 60 consecutive days. Our single site offers water and electric hookups (50, 30, and 20 amp). We have a dump station on the property located just 200' from the site and we can provide a towable dump tank at no additional charge. Additionally, the site includes high-speed WiFi and Ethernet Internet access for your convenience. You'll have the entire front yard's approximately 3 acres to walk dogs or simply enjoy a stroll. At night, the low light pollution offers amazing views of the sky while deer can often be seen crossing the property. Door Dash and other food delivery services are available. Plus, we're just 15 minutes away from several points of interest in the area, including the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex, MTSU, Stones River National Battlefield, and the equestrian center. The best part about this site are the views! Relax on the side of the Cumberland Plateau while overlooking Burroughs Cove and the Elk River. There is an electrical box at each end of the graveled parking area (Sites 1 & 2) with 20- and 30-amp plugs. Depending on the time of year (warmer months) a water container with a limited amount of non-potable water is on site for your use. Please plan on filling your water reservoir prior to arriving at the site. There is also an outhouse, picnic table, and a fire ring. We are located just minutes away from The Caverns, South Cumberland State Park, Bigfoot Adventures, and many other attractions. The graveled camping area is fairly close to Hwy 50 so please expect to hear some road noise. Need firewood?
